Being a Swede, I am not very familiar with the game of Bowls. My knowledge extends only to what I have occasionally seen on TV sports channels.

When I moved to the Gold Coast, I realised my apartment was just a short walk away from the local Broadbeach Bowls Club. I thought this could be an interesting opportunity to investigate the game, especially from a social point of view.

I decided to join one of the next Pennants games. It was a perfect chance to learn more about the sport and also take some pictures for my Photo Imaging assessment.

One sunny Saturday I had my first experience at the Broadbeach Bowls Club and I was warmly welcomed. It was a fun event to shoot and I discovered good humor in the game. I am really looking forward to exploring the world of bowls during my time in Australia.
