Story by Jessica Allardyce

Originally from Melbourne, Gary Allardyce moved to the Gold Coast in his forties in search of a lifestyle change. From then on, his life went from divorce to a new family, a life-long profession in computer programming to a new career in real estate; and being financially stable to struggling from week to week. Gary’s story reveals an everyday journey of the changes and challenges life can throw along the way.

I felt he had an interesting everyday story to tell that a lot of people today could easily relate to. Over several days I began photographing his life as it is today and recording his story to form a reflection on the many changes he has experienced.
