Zooming in on Birdwatcher Barry Davies
With over thirty years of experience in the field, Barry Davies has received two awards from the William Angliss Australian EcoGuide of Excellence, putting him at the top of Australia’s environmental tour guides. In addition to arranging tours and spotting birds, Davies has been part of several environmental projects. He designed a walking track system through Coomera Waters with 20 interpretative signs.
For tour guide and birdwatcher Barry Davies no two days are the same; on this featured tour in Coombabah wetlands he claims to have seen ‘maybe the most southerly sighting of a female Shining Flycatcher’. Zooming in on the Flycatcher, Davies predicts birdwatchers will be flying to the area once he makes the information available on his website.
